Dave's Web Watchdog's referral program is designed to take advantage of this fact, and it's a great deal all around. By referring your friends, they get a cool free service, you get upgraded service, and we get better advertising than we could pay for -- anywhere!


Here's how it works.

When you first sign up, you get an Basic Account. You can use this account for as long as you want, it never expires, but you are automatically upgraded to the Enhanced Account after you have made just two referrals. Enhanced Accounts check your sites twice as frequently, and have the addition of SMS text message support.

After this, we encourage you to continue making referrals... as many as you can think of. We will upgrade your service to the Premium Account for 1 month for each of your referrals that sign up.


So, why are we doing this?

Put very simply, this site can't operate without a successful business model. We are not venture backed, and don't have deep pockets. Our model hinges on some of our users seeing the value in upgrading to our paid Premium Account. But... our model also relies on ALL of us spreading the word.

We know that not everyone will want to pay for this service, but we do ask that everyone who uses and likes it contribute -- in some way -- to making it a success!
